Prevention of falls among seniors in the provision of nursing care.

Abstract:

Tématem mé bakalářské práce je ?Prevence pádu seniorů při poskytování ošetřovatelské péče?. Tato práce má dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. Nejprve jsem se věnovala části teoretické, kde jsem rozebírala stáří jako takové, rozdělení a změny, které stáří doprovází. Dále se zaměřuji na pád všeobecně, poté na jeho příčiny, následky a především na intervence když už se tato neočekávaná událost stane, jak postupovat při pádu a po něm. Poté píši o identifikaci takového pacienta pomocí anamnézy a fyzikálních vyšetření lékařem. Celou tuto teoretickou část zakončuji primární, sekundární a terciální prevencí a také edukací pacienta o této prevenci a riziku pádu. Před začátkem psaní mé bakalářské práce jsem si musela stanovit cíle. Mám jeden hlavní:Zjistit informovanost sester o problematice pádu v nemocničním zařízení. A dva vedlejší:Zjistit vybavenost nemocničních oddělení pro geriatrické pacienty se sníženou schopností pohybu,Zjistit nejčastější rizikový faktor pádu u pacientů starších 65 let. Praktickou část jsem vypracovala pomocí dotazníků, které jsem rozdala sestrám v Ústecké Masarykově nemocnici na různá oddělení jak chirurgického tak i interního typu. Zjišťuji jejich informovanost o problematice související s prevencí a pádem pacientů,zda-li tento pojem znají, zda vědí, které skupiny pacientů jsou rizikové a co je nejčastější příčinou. Dále se zajímám o vybavenost jejich oddělení co se týká pomůcek, tak i dokumentace s tímto problémem spojené. Ptám se sester jestli vědí jak mají správně postupovat v případě pádu pacienta a jak budou postupovat po něm. Pro lepší přehlednost vyhodnocuji výsledky průzkumného šetření pomocí tabulek, grafů a stručné legendy. Stanovené cíle práce byly splněny.

Abstract:

The topic of my thesis is "fall prevention in elderly care provision nursing". This work has two parts: theoretical and practical. First, I focused on the theoretical part where I disassembling such as age, distribution and changes that accompany old age. It will focus on the fall general, then its causes, consequences and especially the intervention when it is this unexpected event happens, what to do in the fall and after it. Then I write to identify such patients by history and physical examination by a doctor. The whole theory of finishing primary, secondary and tertiary prevention as well as educate patients about the risk and prevention of falls. Before you start writing my thesis, I had to set goals. I have one main thing: to inform nurses about the issue of fall in hospital. A two side: Find Used hospital wards for geriatric patients with reduced mobility, find out the most common risk factor for falls in patients older than 65 years. The practical part was developed using questionnaires that I distributed sisters Masaryk Hospital in Usti the various departments as surgical and internal type. I find their awareness about issues related to the prevention and fall patients whether this term know if they know which groups of patients are at risk and what is the most common cause. Furthermore, I'm interested in the facilities department in terms of tools, and documentation associated with this problem. I ask the nurses if they know how to proceed in the event of a fall and how to proceed after him. For better evaluate the results of an exploratory investigation using tables, graphs, and brief legend. The objectives of work have been met.
