Financial analysis of selected medical devices: Regional Hospital Jičín, a.s.

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zhodnocení finanční situace zdravotnického zařízení Oblastní nemocnice Jičín a.s., s využitím vybraných metod finanční analýzy. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část shrnuje podstatu, principy a metody finanční analýzy. V této části je mimo jiné věnována kapitola popisující specifičnost oblasti zdravotnictví. V praktické části je charakterizováno analyzované zdravotnické zařízení. Následuje praktické provedení finanční analýzy, které hodnotí hospodaření Oblastní nemocnice Jičín a.s. Dílčím cílem této diplomové práce je analýza možností příjmů zdravotnického zařízení, která je řešena prostřednictvím PEST analýzy. V závěru, na základě poznatků zjištěných v analytické části práce, jsou navržena opatření a doporučení, která by mohla vést k efektivnějšímu hospodaření zdravotnického zařízení.

Abstract:

The aim of the Diploma thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of the health facility Regional Hospital Jicin a.s., using selected methods of financial analysis. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part summarizes the principles and methodology of financial analysis. This part is also describing the specification in health field. The practical part is describing the analyzed healthcare-technical equipment. It is followed by practical implementation of financial analysis which analyses the management of Hospital Jicin, a. s. A partial aim of this Diploma thesis is to analyze the possibilities of medical equipment revenue, which is presented by the PEST analysis. In conclusion, based on evidence described in the analytical part of the thesis are proceeding some proposals and recommendations that could lead to more effective management of medical equipment
