Design of the inductor 6mH

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce popisuje návrh vzduchové cívky s indukčností 6 mH. V souladu se zadáním je cívka navržena na trvalý harmonický proud s efektivní hodnotou 6,5 A. Návrh je proveden pro cívku s kruhovým průřezem. Je zde také uveden způsob výpočtu indukčnosti cívky s pravoúhlým průřezem. Hlavní důraz je kladen na minimalizaci rozměrů, hmotnosti a ceny cívky. V první části práce jsou vyjmenovány různé způsoby návrhu vzduchové cívky. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na ověření analytického výpočtu pomocí metody konečných prvků (MKP). Ve třetí části je popsán proces výroby několika funkčních vzorků a jejich měření. V závěru práce jsou výsledky měření porovnány s analytickými výpočty. Z porovnání je zřejmé, že analytický výpočet je vhodný pouze pro prvotní návrh. V případě, že potřebujeme přesnější výsledky, je lepší použít metodu konečných prvků.

Abstract:

This report describes design of an air core coil with inductance of 6 mH. Accorging to the assignment, the coil is designed for permanent harmonic current with effective value of 6,5 A. The design is made for the core with circular cross section area. Calculation of inductance of the coil with rectangular cross section area is listed as well. The main emphasis is the minimizing of the dimensions, the mass and the costs. In the first part of the thesis, there are listed some different ways of the design of the air coil. The second part is about verifying of the analytic calculation by using the finite element method (FEM). In the third part, there is described the process of making of several functional samples, which were measured. The results of the measurements with analytic calculations are compared at the end of this thesis. It is obvious from the comparison that the analytic calculations are good only for the first design. If the more precision results are needed, it is better to use the finite element method.
