Diplomová práce se zabývá výukou německého jazyka v meziválečném a válečném období v baťovském Zlíně, konkrétně se zaměřením na Masarykovu pokusnou měšťanskou školu. V diplomové práci je analyzována didaktická koncepce školy (metody výuky cizího jazyka, osnovy, učebnice, pokus s restrikcí učiva), zároveň je zkoumaná škola zasazena do kontextu československého meziválečného školství.
