Abstract:

The present research analysis the financial performance analysis within the startup companies. The primary goal of this research is to analyse and quantify the influence of financial performance on the growth of biopharmaceutical startups, employing a rigorous comparison of financial metrics. Additionally, this study aims to estimate and assess the role of financial analysis in investor attraction and to examine the various funding mechanisms supporting startups through their development stages. At the core of this analysis are four research questions. The first, "How does the financial performance of startup companies in the biopharmaceutical industry influence their growth trajectory?" explores whether startups can use financial indicators to predict long-term sustainability in this highstakes industry. The second, "How does financial performance impact the funding strategies of startups during different stages of their lifecycle?" examines how financial metrics and performance assessments influence the attractiveness of these startups to types of investors. The third question, "How does financial performance analysis help in attracting investors to startups?" delves into the role of financial analysis in securing investment. Lastly, "What are the different funding categories and mechanisms available to support startups through various growth stages?" investigates the diversity of funding strategies. The methodology employed covers both quantitative including financial ratio analysis and various valuation techniques, are applied to a case study of YS Biopharma and qualitative analyses to evaluate the financial performance of startups in the biopharmaceutical industry.
