Abstract:

The Iran’s nuclear program recently figures as one of the challenges to both regional and global security. The Russian Federation, its role and policy concerning to the nuclear initiatives of the Iranian government were considered to be a sticking point in the implementation of nonproliferation regimes. The European Union’s assessment of the Russian-Iranian cooperation in the nuclear field was mainly stipulated by a number of both internal (economic) and external (political, strategic) interests. The present thesis is an attempt to reveal the main tendencies characterized the Russian-Iranianrelated policy of the European Union.
