The Benefit of the Montessori Method for the Youngest Pupils

Abstract:

Montessori pedagogika má více jak stoletou tradici, v aktuálním kontextu českého školství se odehrává její znovuobjevení. Stabilní pozici si během posledních dvaceti let vybudovala zejména na úrovni mateřských škol a škol základních (1. stupně). Trend zájmu o tuto alternativní formu edukace je podporován i stávajícím angažovaným pojetím rodičovství a výchovy. Avšak většina Montessori mateřských škol je soukromých, státních základních škol je poskrovnu, dochází proto k neuspokojení všech zájemců. Cílem této bakalářské práce je ověřit způsob, jak Montessori pedagogiku zpřístupnit všem dětem bez rozdílu, a to vytvořením návrhu Montessori vzdělávacího kurzu pro děti v předškolním věku. Poukázat tak na přínos a aktuálnost tohoto alternativního pedagogického směru.

Abstract:

The tradition of the Montessori method is more than one hundred years old. Nowadays it has been rediscovered by the pedagogues and educators in the Czech Republic. Its steady position mainly belongs to the levels of kindergartens and primary educational system. The current interest in this alternative pedagogy is supported by active parental treatment and the way of education in a family. However, most of the Montessori kindergartens are private. To the further extend, the state Montessori primary (basic) schools are rare. Due to such insufficiency of the Montessori facilities, all applicants cannot be accepted, just a limited number. The aim of this bachelor´s work is verify the way of availability of the Montessori method for all children (pupils) regardless the family status. I would like to introduce a project of the Montessori educational course for pre-school children (pupils). In addition, I am also trying to highlight its benefits as well as the currency of this alternative pedagogy.
