Property taxes comparison among the Czech republic and neighbouring countries.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na oblast majetkových daní. Metodou komparace objasňuji zmíněnou problematiku v České republice a sousedních zemích. V teoretické části představuji majetkové daně z hlediska jejich historie a začlenění do daňové soustavy České republiky. Dále popisuji jednotlivé charakteristiky daně z nemovitostí, daně dědické, daně darovací, daně z převodu nemovitostí a daně silniční, jak je o nich psáno v českých zákonech. Praktická část se zabývá zákonnou úpravou majetkových daní v sousedních zemích České republiky, tedy na Slovensku, v Německu, v Rakousku a v Polsku. V úvodu každé kapitoly popisuji strukturu daňové soustavy příslušné země. U jednotlivých daní spíše zdůrazňuji rozdíly oproti české úpravě těchto daní. Každá kapitola je završena příkladem s vybranou daní, která je vypočtena jak v České republice, tak v dané zemi. Ke každému příkladu je přiřazeno stručné porovnání. V závěru shrnuji své poznatky z prostudovaných zákonů a publikací a srovnávám je v rámci zmíněných zemí. Bakalářská práce obsahuje rovněž mé úvahy, které jsou zaměřené na změnu výběru či struktury jednotlivých daní v České republice. Inspirovala jsem se zejména v sousedních zemích.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on property taxes. I clarify this issue by method of comparing in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries. In the theoretical part of the thesis I present property taxes in terms of their history and the inclusion to the tax system in the Czech Republic. I describe the individual characteristics of the real estate tax, inheritance tax, gift tax, property transfer taxes and road taxes, as written about them in the Czech laws. The practical part is concerned with the legal regulation of property taxes in the neighbouring countries of the Czech Republic as the Slovak Republic, Germany, Austria and Poland. At the beginning of each chapter I describe the structure of the tax system of the country. I emphasize differences compared to the Czech modify of each taxes. Each chapter is concluded with selected examples of tax that is calculated in the Czech Republic and in the other country. A brief comparison is assigned to each example. The conclusion summarizes my findings of law and studied books and compares them within these countries. Bachelor thesis also contains my reflections which are aimed at changing of the selection or the structure of taxes in the Czech Republic. I inspired especially in neighbouring countries.
