Atlas of rural development - the Slezská Brána region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na území regionu Slezská brána. Cílem práce je vytvoření atlasu rozvoje venkovských obcí vybraného území a analýzy sociálních, ekonomických a demografických charakteristik. Primárně jsou zde použita sekundární data z Českého statistického úřadu, portálu Ministerstva financí a dalších veřejně dostupných databází. Na základě těchto dat jsou vytvořeny mapové výstupy v programu QGIS. První část práce je věnována pojmům týkající se kartografie, map či rozvoje venkova. Druhá část je zaměřena na území regionu Slezská brána a dále obsahuje mapové výstupy s analytickým textem. Práce si klade dvě základní otázky: Které obce jsou z hlediska demografických a socioekonomických charakteristik nejlépe a nejhůře rozvinuté? A zdali je tato skutečnost ovlivňována dopravní dostupností či nikoliv. Mezi nejlépe rozvinuté obce řadím města Vratimov a Šenov naopak mezi nejhůře rozvinuté obce Pražmo, Nižní a Vyšní Lhoty. Obecně lze říct, že rozvinutější obce jsou mezi Ostravou, Frýdkem-Místkem a Havířovem, než obce mezi Frýdkem-Místkem a Beskydami. Tato skutečnost je ovlivňována mimo jiné i dopravní dostupností.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the area of the Slezská brána region. The aim of this thesis is to create an atlas of rural development of chosen area and to make a analysis of social, economic, demographic characteristics. Primary data are used from public databases of Czech statistical office, portal of Ministry of Finance and other public databases. Based on these data, map outputs are created in QGIS program. First part of thesis is focused on therms related to cartography, maps and region development. Second part is focused on the area of chosen region. Here is the area characterized and this part also includes map outputs with analytical text. Thesis focuses on the answers of two main questions. Which municipalites are the best and the worst developed municipalites in this region? And whether is this fact affected by transport accessibility? Based on the analysis, cities Vratimov and Šenov belong to the most developed municipalites and on the other hand the worst developed municipalites are Pražmo, Vyšní Lhoty and Nižní Lhoty. In general it can be said, that municipalities between Ostrava, Frýdek-Místek and Havířov are more developed than municipalitied between Frýdek-Místek and Beskydy mountains. This fact is also influenced by transport accessibility.
