Práce se zabývá působením výchovné práce na žáky ze sociálně slabého prostředí se zaměřením na adolescenční věk. V teoretické části práce je popsán význam socializace jako celoživotního vlivu na rozvoj jedince, poznatky o výchově v rodině, výchovné styly v rodině a postupný vývoj jedince pod vlivem konkrétního typu výchovy s podrobnějším popisem adolescence.
