The Setting of School Educational Programme at Grammar School, Educational Area Man and Nature

Abstract:

The graduation thesis deals with the setting of school educational programmes at grammar school. Original documents for the setting of the programme are The General Educational Programme for primary and secondary grammar education. The thesis presents the procedure of the setting of the School Educational Programme at the Grammar School in Třinec. The thesis focuses on the comparison of students´ knowledge in the educational area Man and Nature, which includes the subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Geology. There are compared the four-year and six-year study students of the same age. There was also carried out the comparison between boys and girls of the same type of study. Tests results in particular categories confirmed the pressumption that the six-year study students achieve better results than the four-year study students. At the same time it was confirmed that the boys achieve better results. The four-year study girls had the worst results. There can be close comparison between the results of the four-year study boys and the six-year study girls. The best results were achieved by the six-year study boys. Based on the results we can state that the school educational programmes at primary schools should deal more with the development of the competence concentrated on better science knowledge.
