Microhistory

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is based on the development of an analog memory representational method through illustrations that later form part of a printed book and an installation of spatial (three-dimensional) objects, bound together by the concept of microhistory. The theme of microhistory brings research-like significance to the re-creation of childhood memories, told by drawings. In addition to the different technologies used, the theoretical part of the diploma thesis focuses on the current phenomenon of the artist book relevance in the field of graphic design. An important practical element is the process of printing the book using traditional silkscreen technique.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá ilustrovanou autorskou knihou a inštaláciou v podobe priestorových objektov nadväzujúcich na spoločný koncept mikrohistórie. Téma mikrohistórie prepožičiava výskumný význam spomienkam z detstva prerozprávaných kresbou. Dôležitým prvkom praktickej časti je proces výroby knižky technikou sieťotlače. Teoretická časť diplomovej práce sa okrem technológie zameriava na súčasný fenomén autorskej knižnej tvorby v oblasti grafického dizajnu.
