Abstract:

Táto práca sa zaoberá predvolebnými sľubmi politických strán na Slovensku. Je zakotvená v modeli straníckeho mandátu, ktorý predpokladá, že politické strany budú formulovať špecifické predvolebné sľuby, ktoré sa po voľbách budú snažiť naplniť. Práca skúma naplnenie týchto sľubov v obdobiach 2006 až 2010 a 2012 až 2016. Hlavným zistením je, že k plneniu sľubov dochádza, no jeho úspešnosť je relatívne nízka. Pomocou logistickej regresie sa taktiež zisťujú faktory vplývajúce na naplnenie sľubov. Výsledkom je zistenie, že šanca na naplnenie sľubu sa zvyšuje, ak 1. strana, ktorá ho formuluje, vytvorí jednofarebnú vládu, 2. udržiava status quo a 3. je zahrnutý v programovom vyhlásení vlády.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with election pledges of political parties in Slovakia. It is developed within the framework of the party mandate model that assumes that political parties formulate specific election pledges they try to fulfill after the elections. It studies pledge fulfillment in the periods of 2006 – 2010 and 2012 – 2016. The main finding is that Slovak political parties do fulfill their pledges but the rates of pledge fulfillment are relatively low. Additionally, logistic regression is conducted to determine the factors influencing pledge fulfillment. The results show that the chance of a pledge becoming fulfilled rises if 1. the party that makes the pledge forms a single party government, 2. the pledge maintains the status quo and 3. the pledge is included in the programmatic declaration of the government.
