Employment of seniors and people of post-working age in terms of employer motivation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá zaměstnaností seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku z hlediska motivace zaměstnavatele. Cílem této práce je zkoumat a na základě provedené analýzy následně klasifikovat a zhodnotit faktory působící z pohledu motivace zaměstnavatele na zaměstnávání seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku. Teoretická část popisuje současnou demografickou situaci a charakterizuje současné postavení seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku na trhu práce České republiky. Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na aktuální změny v teorii Age managementu v České republice a na možnosti uplatňování zásad Age managementu v současné praxi. V praktické části je proveden kvalitativní výzkum, pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů jsou v rámci různých ekonomických odvětví zjišťovány faktory ovlivňující zaměstnavatele při zaměstnávání seniorů a osob v poproduktivním věku. Nejvýznamnějšími faktory jsou dlouhodobé zkušenosti, praxe v oboru, samostatnost, trpělivost, přesnost a pozitivní zkušenosti s mentoringem. Mezi negativně působící faktory náleží problémy s moderními technologiemi, zkostnatělost, neochota učit se novým věcem a zhoršení zdravotního stavu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the employment of seniors and people of post-working age in terms of employer motivation. The aim of this thesis is to investigate and, based on the analysis, to classify and evaluate the factors influencing the employment of seniors and people of post-working age in terms of employer motivation. The theoretical part describes the current demographic situation and characterizes the current position of seniors and people of post-working age on the Czech labour market. The bachelor thesis focuses on the current changes in the theory of Age Management in the Czech Republic and the possibilities of applying the principles of Age Management in current practice. In the practical part, qualitative research is carried out, using in-depth interviews within various economic sectors to identify factors influencing employers in employing seniors and people of post-working age. The most significant factors are longterm experience, industry experience, independence, patience, punctuality and positive mentoring experience. Negative factors include problems with modern technology, ossification, unwillingness to learn new things and deteriorating health.
