The education system of the Republic of Korea and its impact on youth unemployment

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je vyhodnocení sekundární a terciární úrovně vzdělávacího systému se záměrem odhalit kritické aspekty, které by potenciálně mohly mít vliv na nezaměstnanost mladých osob v Korejské republice. Současně je cílem vyhodnotit samotný vliv těchto aspektů na nezaměstnanost mládeže. Teoretická část se věnuje definicím hlavních pojmů, týkající se dané tematiky a následovně je analyzována vzájemná provázanost problematiky nezaměstnanosti mladých lidí a vzdělávacího systému v obecné rovině. V rámci praktické části práce jsou teoretické poznatky aplikovány na případ Korejské republiky. V této částí je provedena detailní analýza jihokorejského vzdělávacího systému a rovněž jsou kontrolovány další relevantní faktory, které mají vliv na vznik nezaměstnanosti mladých lidí. Nakonec je vyhodnocen stav jihokorejského vzdělávacího systému a jeho vliv na vývoj tamní nezaměstnanosti mladých osob.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the secondary and tertiary levels of the education system with the intention of revealing critical aspects that could potentially affect youth unemployment in the Republic of Korea. At the same time, the aim is to evaluate the very impact of these aspects on youth unemployment. The theoretical part deals with the definitions of the main concepts related to the topic and then analyzes the interrelationship between the issue of youth unemployment and the education system in general. In the practical part of the work, theoretical knowledge is applied to the case of the Republic of Korea. In this section, a detailed analysis of the South Korean education system is performed and other relevant factors that influence the incidence of youth unemployment are also examined. Finally, the state of the South Korean education system and its impact on the development of South Korean youth unemployment is evaluated.
