Activation in homes for the elderly

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je aktivizace v domovech pro seniory. Práce pojednává o způsobu trávení volného času v domovech pro seniory. Cílem práce je popsat základní teoretické pojmy sociální práce z oblasti práce se seniory, se zaměřením na jejich aktivizaci. V rámci výzkumného šetření, prováděného formou dotazníku, následně zjišťovat spokojenost klientů s nabízenými aktivizačními činnostmi. V teoretické části bakalářské práce jsou popsány pojmy stárnutí, stáří, a to se zaměřením především na projevy stárnutí, sociální práce, historie sociální práce, sociální služba, sociální práce se seniory a druhy sociálních služeb pro seniory. Dále je zde definován volný čas, aktivizace seniorů v pobytových službách a popsána aktivizace seniorů v pobytové službě domova pro seniory, v závěru jsou uvedeny druhy aktivizačních technik, které jsou vhodné pro seniory v pobytové službě. Ve výzkumné části, realizované pomocí kvantitativního dotazníkového šetření, byla zjišťována spokojenost klientů s nabízenými aktivizačními činnostmi v domovech pro seniory. Cílem výzkumné části práce totiž bylo právě zjistit, jak jsou klienti spokojeni s nabízenými aktivizačními činnostmi v pobytové sociální službě domovů pro seniory (Domov pro seniory Karolinka, Domov pro seniory Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Domov pro seniory Vsetín - Jasenka), jejichž zřizovatelem jsou Sociální služby Vsetín p.o.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is activation in homes for the elderly. The work addresses the way of spending free time in homes for the elderly. The objective of the work is to describe the fundamental theoretical concepts of social work in the field of working with seniors with a focus on their activation. Within the research survey carried out in the form of a questionnaire, the aim was to determine the satisfaction of clients with the offered activation activities. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis contains a description of the concepts of aging, old age with a focus on the manifestations of aging, social work, the history of social work, social service, social work with seniors and types of social services for the elderly. Subsequently, this section defines the leisure time and activation of seniors in residential services and describes the activation of seniors in the residential service of a home for the elderly. Finally, the types of activation techniques that are suitable for seniors in residential accommodation are listed. In the research part, carried out by means of a quantitative questionnaire survey, the satisfaction of clients with the offered activation activities in homes for the elderly was determined. The aim of the research part of the work was to find out the satisfaction rate of clients with the offered activation activities in the residential social service of homes for the elderly (Home for the elderly in Karolinka, Home for the elderly in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, Home for the elderly in Vsetín - Jasenka), founded by contributory organization Social Services Vsetín p.o.
