Inbetween Two Worlds: A Radio Reportage

Abstract:

Tato produktová bakalářská práce se věnuje podcastingu a tvorbě audio reportáže, s cílem vytvořit pilotní díl podcastové série audio reportáží. Výsledný produkt chronologicky zobrazuje průběh typického dne dvou ze šesti respondentů z Jihomoravského kraje a to, jakým způsobem odlišné způsoby života ovlivňují jejich vztah k médiím a informacím. Odlišnosti vycházejí z třídního rozdělení určeném výzkumem Česká společnost po 30 letech. Výzkum ve svém vysílání zpracoval Český rozhlas v projektu Rozděleni svobodou, na nějž autorka volně navazuje. První část práce se věnuje kontextuální složce. Jsou zde vysvětleny „teorie jednání“ francouzského sociologa Pierre Bourdieu, proměna společnosti v postindustriální, studie Great British Class Survey i zmíněný výzkum a projekt včetně všech šesti tříd. Rovněž je charakterizován zvolený žánr a podcast jakožto cílové médium. Druhá část práce provází čtenáře tvorbou pilotního dílu pořadu a shrnuje aspekty, které zpracovávání provázely. Práce je zakončena kritickou reflexí.

Abstract:

This product bachelor thesis is devoted to podcasting and audio reportage. The main goal is to create a pilot episode of a series of journalistic audio reportages. The final product chronologically shows a typical day of two out of six people from the South Moravia region and how their diverse lifestyles affect their relation to media and information. Said differences are given by their different social classifications, which come from a sociological research Česká společnost po 30 letech (Czech Society 30 Years After). This research was then introduced and broadcasted by Český rozhlas in a project called Rozděleni svobodou (Divided by Freedom), which the author follows up freely. The first part is a contextual part of the bachelor thesis. There are explained concepts such as Pierre Bourdieu’s “theory of practice”, the development of society in post-industrial, the Great British Class Survey, the research and project that were already mentioned and all six social classes. Similarly, the selected genre and podcast as a target medium are characterized in this part. The second part of the thesis guides the reader through the creation of the pilot episode of the series itself and summarizes all the aspects that accompanied processing. The bachelor thesis is concluded with a critical reflection.
