Evaluation of the integration potential of Ukrainian immigration to the Czech Republic in 2022

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vyhodnocení integračního potenciálu příchozích ukrajinských imigrantů do České republiky v roce 2022. Práce nadále usiluje o verifikaci hypotézy: Integrační potenciál příchozích migrantů nedosahuje takových kvalit, aby proběhlo úspěšné začlenění převážné většiny imigrantů do české společnosti. Teoretická část nastiňuje na základě literární rešerše teoretické koncepty vzniku migračních impulzů, integrační strategie a vybrané ekonomické teorie. Praktická část práce byla zpracována na podkladě komparativní analýzy vybraných ukazatelů mezi českou populací a příchozími imigranty, což jí činí jednou z prvních prací přinášejících vhled do této problematiky. Součástí samotné práce jsou i národohospodářská doporučení týkající se zlepšení integračního procesu. Výsledky práce potvrzují stanovenou hypotézu o nedostatečném integračním potenciálu ukrajinských migrantů, avšak představuje i dílčí segmenty jejich přínosu české společnosti.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the integration potential of incoming Ukrainian immigrants to the Czech Republic in 2022. The work continues to verify the hypothesis: The integration potencial of incoming migrants does not reach such qualities that the majority of immigrants can be successfully integrated into Czech society. The theoretical part outlines the theoretical concepts of the emergence of migration impulses, integration strategies and selected economic theories based on literature research. The practical part of the work was prepared on the basis of a comparative analysis of selected indicators between the Czech population and incoming immigrants, which makes it one of the first works bringing insight into this issue. The work itself also includes national economic recommendations regarding the improvement of the integration process. The results of the work confirm the proposed hypothesis about the insufficient integration potential of Ukrainian migrants, but it brings out partial segments of their contribution to Czech society.
