Abstract:

Cílem této práce je analyzovat přístup k řízení a plánování nákladů vybrané organizační jednotky mezinárodní chemické společnosti. Tato organizační jednotka představuje ziskové středisko a k efektivnímu řízení nákladů využívá a spojuje prvky manažerského účetnictví a controllingu. Ke zpracování analýzy byly využity interní databáze společnosti a četné komunikace s managementem a zaměstnanci controllingového oddělení. Práce popisuje, jak jsou jednotlivé nákladové položky účtovány, prognózovány a rozpočtovány. Jako hlavní problém byl identifikován efekt zpoždění v reportovaných datech, jehož příčinou je časová náročnost konsolidace dat. Tento efekt způsobuje odchylky mezi reportovanými a skutečně dosaženými hodnotami nákladů a jeho neznalost může vyústit až v chybná manažerská rozhodnutí.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the approach to cost management and planning of the selected organizational unit of an international chemical company. This organizational unit represents a profit center and for effective cost management uses and combines elements of management accounting and controlling. The internal databases of the company and numerous communications with the management and employees of the controlling department were used to process the analysis. This thesis describes how the individual cost items are booked, forecasted and budgeted. As a major problem, the effect of delay in reported data was identified, which is caused by the time consuming nature of data consolidation. This effect causes discrepancies between reported and actual cost values, and its ignorance can result in wrong managerial decisions.
