Execution of community service sentences in the Ústí nad Labem region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá trestem obecně prospěšných prací a faktory, jež ovlivňují výkon tohoto trestu. Cílem práce bylo identifikovat bariéry ve výkonu trestu a lépe tak porozumět situaci klientů, kterým tento trest byl uložen. Zároveň se tato práce zaobírá tím, jakou roli ve výkonu trestu může hrát poskytovatel. Výzkum byl zaměřen na konkrétní středisko a to v Ústí nad Labem, kde s klienty byly provedeny polostrukturované rozhovory. Díky získaným datům práce dokázala identifikovat faktory ovlivňující výkon trestu obecně prospěšných prací jako např. finanční situace, bydlení zaměstnání, užívání návykových látek a další.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the punishment of community service and the factors influencing the execution of this punishment. The aim of the thesis was to identify the barriers in the execution of the sentence and thus to better understand the situation of the clients who have received this sentence. At the same time, this thesis addresses the role that the provider can play in the execution of the sentence. The research focused on a specific centre, namely in Ústí nad Labem, where semi-structured interviews were conducted with clients. Through the data collected, the thesis was able to identify factors affecting the performance of community service sentences such as financial situation, housing employment, substance use and others.
