Diversity of Education in Tourism Field at University of Economics in Prague and Management Center Innsbruck

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je porovnat efektivnost a praktičnost výuky cestovního ruchu na Vysoké škole ekonomické v Praze a na Management Center Innsbruck. Teoretická část práce vymezuje metody vysokoškolské výuky, řeší problematiku sjednocování vysokoškolských programů v Evropském prostoru vysokoškolského vzdělávání a také popisuje historii výuky cestovního ruchu na daných vzdělávacích institucích. Na toto téma navazuje praktická část práce. Ta se již zaměřuje na analýzu přijímacího řízení a nabídku předmětů na VŠE a MCI na oboru cestovního ruchu v bakalářském programu. Následně pomocí kvalitativního dotazníku mezi studenty a učiteli je v práci hodnocena celková spokojenost s oborem na daných institucích. Přínosem práce je jak srovnání výuky cestovního ruchu, tak přenesení efektivních prvků do výuky a případný motiv k vylepšení přístupu k výuce cestovního ruchu.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare effectiveness and usefulness of education in tourism field at University of Economics in Prague and at Management Center Innsbruck. Theoretical part of the thesis defines methods of education at university level, focuses on unification of university study programs in the European Higher Education Area and also describes history of education in tourism field at stated educational institutions. Practical part develops more the topic about bachelor study programs. Entrance procedure and offer of courses related to tourism at University of Economics in Prague and at Management Center Innsbruck are analyzed. Followed by qualitative survey among students and teachers, the overall satisfaction with the bachelor study programs on these institutions is being researched. Comparison of the education of tourism and potential transfer of effective elements into the teaching and possible impulse for improving the approach to the teaching of tourism should be a contribution of this bachelor thesis.
