Anotácia:

Táto práca si kladie za cieľ vyvinúť a nasadiť open-source webový aplikačný server na zjednodušenie prístupu v rámci výskumných infraštruktúr, ktoré sú spolupracujúcimi sieťami alebo platformami podporujúcimi vedecké úsilie. Výsledná aplikácia je prepracovanou verziou aplikácie BBMRI-ERIC Negotiator, využívaného v Európskej výskumnej infraštruktúre pre biobanky. Táto vylepšená verzia uľahčuje prístup k biologickým vzorkám a údajom z biobánk členov BBMRI-ERIC a zároveň slúži ako pilotný nástroj pre centrálny portál v projekte EHDS (European Health Data Space). Teoretická časť sa zaoberá oblasťou sekundárneho využitia zdravotníckych dát, zameriava sa na výzvy pri prístupe k cezhraničným výskumným údajom a vzorkám, ako aj na návrh API (Application Programming Interfaces). Praktický aspekt práce začína analýzou kontextu aplikácie a rozmanitých požiadaviek na systém. Následne predstavuje návrh, implementáciu, testovanie aplikácie a porovnávaciu evaluáciu s podobnými riešeniami. Výsledný systém je implementovaný a navrhnutý tak, aby spĺňal špecifikácie BBMRI-ERIC a pilotného projektu EHDS2. Slúži ako referenčná implementácia centrálného prístupového portálu, prispievajúc k zlepšeniu prístupnosti výskumnej infraštruktúry.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to develop and deploy an open-source web application server to streamline access within research infrastructures, which are collaborative networks or platforms that support scientific endeavors.. Rather than building from scratch, the application is a redesigned iteration of the BBMRI-ERIC Negotiator, utilized within the European Research Infrastructure for Biobanking. This enhanced version facilitates access to biological samples and data from BBMRI-ERIC member biobanks, while also serving as a pilot solution for the central portal in the EHDS (European Health Data Space) project. The theoretical component delves into the domain, focusing on the challenges of accessing cross-border research data and samples, as well as the design of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces). The practical aspect of the thesis begins with an analysis of the application context and the diverse requirements placed on the system. Subsequently, it presents the application's design, implementation, testing, and a comparative evaluation with similar solutions. The resulting system is implemented and designed to meet the specifications of BBMRI-ERIC and the EHDS2 pilot project. It serves as a reference implementation of a central access portal, contributing to the advancement of research infrastructure accessibility.
