Problems with getting involved Gypsy Children into the Czech School System

Abstract:

Problematika začleňování romských dětí do systému českého školství je v současnosti jedním z prvořadých úkolů české společnosti, ale zároveň i povinností legislativního řešení. Práce představuje a probírá různé příčiny obtíží při integraci dětí do vzdělávání. Nabízí různé možnosti řešení, která mohou mít řadu podob, počínaje prací neziskových organizací až po vysoce specializované a komplexní přístupy odborníků. Není pochyb o tom, že je důležité s těmito skutečnostmi pracovat. Při zpracování práce jsem čerpala ze zkušeností v terénu. Pro ilustraci jsou uvedeny rozbory některých případů.

Abstract:

The issue of inclusion of Roma children in the system of Czech education is currently one of the primary tasks of the Czech society, but also the duty of legislative solution. The work presents and discusses the various causes difficulties in integrating the children in education. The work as well offers various options of solution, which can have many forms, beginning with the work of non-profit organizations to highly specialized and comprehensive approaches of the experts. There is no doubt that it is important to work with these facts. In the processing of work I gathered from the experience found out in the daily practice. To illustrate some of the cases there are presented analyses.
