Linguistic aspects of methodology of foreign language teaching of children with learning disabilities

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá lingvistickými aspekty výuky cizích jazyků u dětí s poruchami učení a jinými speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, jako jsou ADHD, mentální retardace nebo poruchy řeči. Cílem práce je analyzovat metody a efektivitu výuky anglického jazyka u těchto žáků. Teoretická část se zabývá psycholingvistickými aspekty akvizice mateřského i cizího jazyka a vlivem, který na ni mají poruchy učení a další postižení, metodami reedukace těchto poruch, lingvistickým přínosem pro tuto problematiku, alternativními metodami využívanými ve výuce cizího jazyka a samotnými poruchami. Praktická část obsahuje kvalitativní výzkum, v němž je analyzována učebnice Chit Chat I a kazuistiky sledovaných žáků.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with linguistic aspects of foreign language teaching in children with learning disabilities and other special educational needs such as ADHD, mental retardation or speech impairments. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the methods and effectiveness of teaching English for these pupils. The theoretical part deals with the psycholinguistic aspects of the first and second language acquisition and the influence learning disabilities and other disabilities have on it, with the methods of reeducation of these disorders, the linguistic contribution to this issue, it describes alternative methods used in foreign language teaching and the disorders themselves. The practical part includes the qualitative research, which consists of the analysis of the textbook Chit Chat I and case studies of monitored pupils.
