Spolupráce Visegradské 4 je postavena na historických tradicích. Začala se intenzivněji rozvíjet v době, kdy Česká republika, Slovensko a Polsko ukončily účast ve spojeneckých uskupeních socialistického bloku a ještě nebyly přijaty do Evropské unie. 4 Visegrad cooperation is based on historical traditions. It began to intensively develop at a time when the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland ended its participation in the allied groupings of the socialist bloc and have not yet been accepted into the European Union.
