Auction Theory

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá stručným přehledem a analýzou technik používaných v teorii aukcí. V první části je čtenář s pomocí literatury seznámen s vlastnostmi a rozdělením nejpoužívanějších typů aukcí. Následně jsou tyto aukce analyzovány a s pomocí teoretických postupů je nalezena optimální strategie. Druhá část práce se věnuje tvorbě a řešení vlastního modelu speciálního případu aukce, kterým je státní zakázka. Čtenář je opět krátce seznámen s modelem a následně je tento typ aukce s použitím teorie her řešen a analyzován. Stejný model je poté zkoumán jako populační hra a s využitím evoluční dynamiky jsou hledány evolučně stabilní strategie. Na závěr jsou shrnuty získané výsledky, porovnány výsledky teoretické z první části a praktické z modelu ve druhé části.

Abstract:

This paper deals with short introduction and summary of principles used in auction theory. In the first part, the reader is acquainted with the most common auction types and their properties. These auctions are then analysed and, using theoretical mathematics, optimum strategy for bidders is found. The second part involves the creation and solution of a model of a special case of auction, which is public contract. The reader is again shortly introduced to this model, which is then analysed and a solution is found using game theory. The same model is later transformed into population game and evolutionary stable strategies are found. In conclusion, the collected data are summarized and the results from both parts are compared.
