Labour Theory of Value

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce mapuje vývoj myšlenek, které vyústily ve formulaci pracovní teorie hodnoty a chronologicky uvádí jednotlivé osobnosti, kterým jsou konkrétní elementy této teorie přisuzovány a jejich reflexi v odborné literatuře. Cílem práce je poukázat na přínos Ibn Khalduna a Benjamina Franklina, jež vyslovil pracovní teorii hodnoty dříve než její obecně uznávaný autor David Ricardo. Nakonec se práce zabývá i pracovní teorií hodnoty Karla Marxe a poskytuje tak ucelený pohled na vznik této teorie z pohledu dějin ekonomického myšlení.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis addresses the development of ideas, which resulted in formulation of the labour theory of value. In this vein chronologically presents individual personalities, to whom are concrete components of the theory ascribed and their reflexion in the literature. The main aim of the thesis is to point out Ibn Khaldun's contribution to the theory and the contribution of Benjamin Franklin, who pronounced the labour theory of value sooner than it's universally accepted autor David Ricardo. Finally the thesis dwells on the Karl Marx's labour theory of value as well and thus offers a self-contained perspective of genesis of the theory from the point of view of history of economic thought.
