The influence of brewery size on financial indicators

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je finanční analýza pivovarů napříč jejich velikostmi a poukázání na rozdíly ve struktuře majetku a jejich využití. Úvodem bychom se zabývali historií pivovarnictví, kde bude řeč o prvním pivu až po to dnešní z hlediska časového vývoje. Pilířem práce je pivovar Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s., který svou velikostí představuje největšího reprezentanta v České republice. Ten budeme srovnávat s vybranými menšími pivovary a srovnávat jejich rentabilitu, růst, zadluženost nebo likviditu například. Ukazatele budou bezpochybně ovlivněny covidovou pandemií, jejíž vliv na různé pivovary bych chtěl z finančního hlediska ukázat i v závěrečné kapitole.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the financial analysis of breweries across their sizes and pointing out differences in the structure of assets and their utilization. At the beginning, we would take a look at the history of brewing, where we will talk about the first beer up to today's in terms of time development. The pillar of the work is the brewery Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s., which is the largest representative in the Czech Republic due to its sales volume. We will compare it with selected smaller breweries and compare their profitability, growth, indebtedness or liquidity. The indicators will undoubtedly be affected by the covid pandemic, whose effect on various breweries I would like to show from a financial point of view in the final chapter.
