Newborn screening of cystic fibrosis

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou novorodeneckého screeningu cystickej fibrózy ako efektívneho nástroja pre jednotnú a včasnú diagnostiku tohto závažného ochorenia. V úvode sa práca zameriava na všeobecný popis novorodeneckého screeningu, v ďalších jej kapitolách je popísané ochorenie cystickej fibrózy, jednotlivé kroky novorodeneckého screeningu cystickej fibrózy a v samotnom závere je pozornosť venovaná tiež liečbe ochorenia a novým trendom vo vývoji liečiv.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of newborn screening of cystic fibrosis as effective tool for early diagnosis of this severe disease. The aim of the first part is general description of newborn screening, other chapters define cystic fibrosis, individual steps of newborn screening of cystic fibrosis and the attention is given also to treatment of the disease and new trends in drug development.
