Pedagogical High School and Grammar School Graduates as University Students of Pedagogy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá přechodem studentů z pedagogických lyceí a gymnázií na různé pedagogické obory. Jedná se o kvalitativní výzkum, o práci teoreticko-empirickou. Cílem bakalářské práce je objasnit přínos absolvované střední školy pro studium pedagogických oborů na vysoké škole. V teoretické části práce se pojednává o absolventech středních pedagogických škol a gymnázií, motivaci, aspiraci, hodnotové orientaci, vysokoškolských studentech a jejich adaptaci. Empirická část zahrnuje metodologii a výsledky výzkumu. Výzkum této práce byl uskutečněn za pomoci polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s absolventy pedagogických lyceí a s absolventy gymnázií, kteří jsou, či byli, studenty pedagogických oborů na Masarykově univerzitě, a to Pedagogické fakultě nebo Filozofické fakultě.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the transition of pedagogical high school and grammar school graduates to different pedagogy study programs. It is based on qualitative research. That means that this thesis is theoretical-empirical. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to point out the benefits that graduating from high school has for the studying of pedagogy programs at university. The theoretical part deals with pedagogical high school and grammar school graduates, motivation, aspiration, value orientation, and university students and their adaptation. The empirical part includes the methodology and the results of the research that was carried out as a series of interviews with the pedagogical high school and grammar school graduates that are currently studying or finished their studies of any pedagogy program at the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Education at Masaryk’s University.
