Employee benefits and their role in employee retention

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou zaměstnaneckých benefitů ve vybrané společnosti. Cílem této práce je představení systému benefitů, které firma nabízí, posouzení spokojenosti zaměstnanců s tímto systémem a zjištění, jaký vliv mají benefity na retenci zaměstnanců v konkrétní společnosti. Dalším cílem je i zjištění, zda je nabídka benefitů atraktivní i pro potenciální uchazeče o místo. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se zaměřuji na popsání základních složek odměňování, popsání zaměstnaneckých benefitů, jejich členění a významu. Dále charakterizaci pracovní motivace a dílčích motivačních teorií. Poslední částí teoretické části je charakteristika retence zaměstnanců a zaměření na konkrétní koncepty využívané v této oblasti. Praktická část obsahuje představení systému benefitů konkrétní společnosti, analýzu spokojenosti zaměstnanců se systémem benefitů a vliv benefitního systému na retenci zaměstnanců. V závěru práce jsou na základě výsledků analýz předložena doporučení a celková zhodnocení.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of employee benefits in a selected company. The aim of this work is to present the system of benefits offered by the company, assess employee satisfaction with this system, and find out what effect benefits have on employee retention in a particular company. Another goal is to find out whether the offer of benefits is also attractive to potential job applicants. The work consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on describing the basic components of remuneration, describing employee benefits, their breakdown and meaning. Furthermore, the characterization of work motivation and partial motivational theories. The last part of the theoretical part is the characteristics of employee retention and focus on specific concepts used in this area. The practical part includes an introduction of the benefits of a specific company, an analysis of employee satisfaction with the benefits system and the effect of the benefit system on employee retention. At the end of the work, based on the results of the analyses, recommendations and an overall evaluation are presented.
