Banking sektor of Ukraine and its comparison with the banking sector of the Czech republic

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje vývoji bankovního sektoru Ukrajiny a jeho porovnání s bankovím sektorem České republiky. První část práce je zaměřená na popis procesu vytvoření bankovního sektoru na Ukrajině od doby suverenity do současnosti a také popisuje vývoj bankovního sektoru České republiky od doby vzniku Československé republiky do současné doby. Druhá a třetí kapitoly jsou věnovány centrálnímu a komerčnímu bankovnictví na Ukrajině a v ČR a zejména licenční politice centrálních bank obou zemí jako hlavnímu determinačnímu faktoru kvalitativního a kvantitativního vývoje bankovních odvětví Ukrajiny a České republiky. Cílem poslední části dané bakalářské práce je porovnat bankovní sektor obou zemí na základě vybraných kriterií. Pro názornost a přesnost zobrazení získaných informací je používána komparativní metoda. Na základě získaných informací budou analyzovány příčiny vzniku daných rozdílů a budu se snažit ohodnotit bankovní sektor Ukrajiny a České repubiky.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the development of the banking sector of Ukraine and its comparison with the banking sector of the Czech republic. The first part is aimed at describing the process of creation of the banking sector in Ukraine since sovereignty till the present time. Also this chapter describes the development of the Czech banking sector since the establishment of Czechoslovak republic until nowadays. The second and third chapters are devoted to the central and commercial banking in Ukraine and in Czech Republic, especially to the licensing policy of the central bank of both countries, by the reason that it is the main determinative factor of qualitative and quantitative development of banking sector of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The aim of the last part of this bachelor thesis is to compare the banking sector of both countries according to selected criteria. For clarity and display accuracy of the inspected information was used a comparative method. Based on this information will be analyzed the causes of detected differences and I will try to assess the banking sector of Ukraine and the Czech republic.
