Awareness about eating disorders among high school students in Tábor

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Informovanost žáků SŠ v Táboře o problematice poruch příjmu potravy“ je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část shrnuje základní informace o významu výživy pro děti a adolescenty. Vymezuje pojem poruchy příjmu potravy a charakterizuje příčiny jejich vzniku. Pojednává o prevenci, diagnostice a léčbě poruch příjmu potravy. Poskytuje základní informace o zařízeních, která poskytují služby v oblasti poruch příjmu potravy. Podrobněji se zaměřuje na občanské sdružení Anabell, které pomáhá nemocným mentální anorexií a mentální bulimií. Empirická část práce představuje výzkumný projekt. Vyhodnocuje výsledky výzkumu, zkoumá úroveň informovanosti žáků středních škol v Táboře o problematice poruch příjmu potravy.

Abstract:

Thesis "Awareness about eating disorders among high school students in Tábor" is split into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part summarizes key information about the importance of nutrition for children and adolescents. The thesis defines a notion of eating disorder and describes potential causes of eating related disorders. Further, the thesis deals with prevention, diagnosis and treatment of eating related disorders. Part of the thesis includes information about facilities, which provide services related to eating disorders. The thesis in greater detail focuses on civil society association "Anabell" and its role in assisting patients with mental bulimia and mental anorexia. The empirical part of the thesis is based on the results of the research project. This part of the thesis evaluates results of the research project and examines the level of eating disorder awareness among students in the city of Tábor.
