Orientalisms in novel Impure Blood and their reflection in the Czech and Polish translation
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá orientalismy v románu Nečista krv a jejich překladem do češtiny a polštiny. V teoretické části práce jsem se věnovala především orientalistům v srbštině a polštině. V praktické části práce jsem se zaměřila na jednotlivé orientalismy a na jejich překlad do češtiny a polštiny. Na konci práce jsem se zabývala také významem a původem jednotlivých výrazů.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with Serbian loanwords of Turkish origin in novel Impure Blood by Boris Stanković and their use in the Czech and Polish translations. The theoretical part contains a survey of Turkish loanwords in Serbian and Polish. In the applied part, I focus on how particular loanwords are translated to Czech and Polish.
