Abstract:

Bakalářská práce nesoucí název „Informační chování těžce zrakově postižených osob v Brně“ pojednává o možnostech získávání informací nevidomými a slabozrakými občany města Brna. Práce je členěna do jednotlivých kapitol, které postupně mapují řešenou problematiku u nás i ve světě. V teoretické části jsou blíže specifikovány jednotlivé stupně zrakových vad a odpovídající kompenzační pomůcky, které mohou nevidomému nahradit chybějící smysl při získávání informací na internetu. Navzdory tomu, že většina webových stránek dosud není nevidomým zcela přístupna, je internet stále nejrozšířenějším zdrojem informací pro handicapované osoby. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na organizace poskytující pomoc nevidomým a slabozrakým lidem. Ve většině případů tyto instituce nabízejí poradenství, nácvik potřebných dovedností, kurzy práce s výpočetní technikou a jiné služby usnadňující ztížené životní podmínky. V praktické části jsou zpracovány poznatky získané na základě rozhovorů s několika vybranými jedinci s různými stupni zrakového postižení. Výsledky rozhovorů byly hlavním podkladem pro závěrečnou bakalářskou práci.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis titled "People with visual impairment and their information behaviour" is about possibilities of obtaining information by blind and visually impaired citizens of the city of Brno. The thesis is divided into chapters that inform about the issue solutions at home and abroad. In the theoretical part we can find closely specified individual degrees of visual defects and appropriate compensation aids for blind people that may replace their missing sense in getting information on the Internet. Despite the fact that most websites are not fully compatible for disabled people, the Internet is still the main source of information for them. The main part is focused on organizations providing assistance to blind and weak-sighted people. In most cases, these institutions offer counselling, training of necessary skills, courses of work with information technology and other services to facilitate their difficult living conditions. Information obtained from consultations with some people suffering by certain degrees of visual impairment are written in the practical part. The results of the interviews served as the main basis for the final form of the bachelor thesis.
