Image analysis of stone structure using autocorrelation function

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na využití autokorelační funkce pro obrazovou analýzu textur dekoračního kamene. Podává základní přehled ohledně dvou strukturálních funkcí: autokorelační funkci a semivariogramu. Dále shrnuje současnou situaci v aplikaci autokorelační funkce pro analýzu textur v geologii. Součástí práce je také popis algoritmu využívající autokorelační funkci. Podle něho vznikl program, který je následně stručně popsán. Nakonec je demonstrována jeho funkčnost na uměle vytvořených texturách a vybraných snímcích hornin.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the use of autocorrelation function for image texture analysis of decorative stone. It gives an overview on two structural functions: the autocorrelation function and semivariogram. Furthermore, it summarizes the current situation in the application of the autocorrelation function for texture analysis in geology. The work also includes a description of the algorithm using the autocorrelation function. According to that algorithm was created a program, that is then briefly described. Finally is demonstrated it‘s functionality on artificially created textures and images of selected rocks.
