Activation of seniors in the centre of social services

Anotace:

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce nazvané Aktivizace seniorů v centru sociálních služeb bylo zjistit faktory, které ovlivňují aktivizaci seniorů v konkrétním centru sociálních služeb. Práce obsahuje tři teoretické a jednu empirickou část. V teoretických kapitolách je blíže popsán proces stárnutí, fyziologické změny ve stáří či postoje společnosti vůči seniorům. Dále specifika komunikace a práce se seniory a rovněž aktivizační proces a jeho jednotlivé možnosti využívané seniorskou populací. Ve výzkumné části jsou prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných interview získána data od pěti informantů, která jsou složena do jednotlivých případových studií. Obdržená data jsou po podrobné analýze shrnuta do závěrečných výsledků a doporučení do praxe.

Abstract:

The main aim of the thesis entitled Activation of seniors in the center social services was to determine the factors that influence the activation of older people in concrete social services center. The thesis includes three theoretical and one empirical part. In the theoretical chapters is described in more detail the process of aging, physiological changes in the old age and society's attitude towards seniors. Further specifics of communication and work with the elderly and also activation process and its various options used by senior population. The research part through semi-structured interview dates obtained from five informants that are composed into individual case studies. Received dates for detailed analysis are summarized in the final results and recommendations into practice.
