The Victimization of Homeless.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je odhalit vzorce viktimizace z pohledu samotných aktérů, jak sami chápou viktimizaci a zda jsou si vědomy, že jsou oběťmi viktimizace. Používám metodu zúčastněného pozorování, doplněnou neformálními rozhovory a polostrukturovanými rozhovory. V teorii vycházím z myšlenek kritické kriminologie, teorie viktimizace a typologie bezdomovectví podle ETHOS. Ve své práci se zabývám tématem viktimizace bezdomovců v Plzni. Zejména se zaměřuji na aspekty jako kdy a kde se útok odehrál, kdo byl agresor, jaké byly důvody útoku, co informátor dělal před útokem, během útoku a po něm. Sleduji podobnosti v jednotlivých případech a hledám v nich nejčastější podobnosti. Obecně platí, že většina útoků na bezdomovce se odehrává v noci. Rozdíl je především v tom, kdo je útočník - policie nebo "bydlící" populace. Rozdíly ale můžeme spatřovat i v motivaci k útoku. Mé závěry jsou, že bezdomovci si neuvědomují, že jsou oběťmi viktimizace kvůli kategoriím, v nichž žijí. Ať už jde o "nájezdy" policie nebo o útoky "bydlící" populace v době spánku.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to reveal patterns of victimization from the point of view of the actors themselves, as they themselves understand victimization and are aware that they are victims of victimization. I use the method of participating observation, supplemented by informal conversations and semi-structured interviews. The theoretical approach for me is critical criminology, the theory of victimization and the typology of homelessness according to ETHOS. In my work I deal with the topic of victimization of homeless people in Pilsen. In particular, I look at aspects such as when and where the attack occurs, who is the aggressor, what are the reasons for the assault, what the respondent did during and after the attack. I follow similarities in individual cases and derive from them the most common trends. In general, most attacs on homeless people are during the night. The difference is who is the attacker - the police, or the "living" population. The difference lies even in the motivation for the attack. My conclusions are that homeless people do not realize that they are victims of victimization because of the categories they are living in. Whether it is "raids" by the police or attacks by the "living" population at the time of sleep.
