The role of mother and father in informal care of people with cerebral palsy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na roli matky a otce v neformální péči u osoby s dětskou mozkovou obrnou. Cíle teoretické části je vymezit teoretická, empirická a metodologická východiska práce, na základě odborných zdrojů popsat a analyzovat, do jaké míry se liší role matky a otce v neformální péči u osoby s dětskou mozkovou obrnou. V teoretické části jsou popsána teoretická a metodologická východiska práce, neformální péče, role ženy a muže v neformální péči a v neposlední řadě také dětská mozková obrna a specifika péče o jedince s ní. Výzkumná část navazuje na teoretické poznatky. Ve výzkumu byla použita kvalitativní výzkumná strategie. Cílem výzkumné části bylo zjistit a popsat rozdíly v roli matky a otce jako neformálních pečujících u osoby s dětskou mozkovou obrnou.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the role of mother and father in informal care of a person with cerebral palsy. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the theoretical, empirical and methodological starting points of the work, to describe and analyze on the basis of professional sources the extent to which the roles of the mother and father differ in informal care of a person with cerebral palsy. The theoretical part describes the theoretical and methodological basis of the work, informal care, the role of women and men in informal care and, last but not least, cerebral palsy and the specifics of caring for individuals with it. The research part follows on from theoretical findings. A qualitative research strategy was used in the research. The aim of the research part was to find out and describe the differences in the role of mother and father as informal caregivers of a person with cerebral palsy.
