Preparing of companies for the euro introduction - influence of the parent company

Abstract:

V diplomové práci je rozebrána problematika připravenosti dvou podniků v ČR na případné přijetí jednotné měny. Cílem práce byla komparace podniku s tuzemskou mateřskou společností a podniku se zahraniční mateřskou společností, zhodnocení jejich situací a sepsání případných doporučení. V teoretické části byly studovány odborné texty věnující se přijímání eura. Následně byl na základě získaných poznatků sestaven koncept hloubkového rozhovoru. V každém z obou zkoumaných podniků byl proveden průzkum. Výsledky šetření vypovídají o takřka shodné připravenosti obou podniků, orientaci managementu v dané problematice i jejich zaměření na určité detaily související s přípravami na přijetí jednotné měny v ČR. V současných přípravách na přijetí jednotné měny v ČR nehraje mateřská společnost významnější roli ani v jednom ze zkoumaných podniků. Oběma podnikům bylo následně v principu doporučeno přezkoumání a zhodnocení dosavadních aktivit a zajištění jejich kontinuity.

Abstract:

The problematics of the readiness of two companies to accept the single currency is analysed in this diploma thesis. The aim of this study was a comparison between a company with the local parent company and a company with the foreign parent company, evaluation of their condition and listing of theoretical recommedations. In the theoretical part, expert texts dealing with euro acceptation were studied. Later the concept of research dialogue based on gained findings was designed. The detailed research was conducted in both analysed companies. The research results show the almost equal readiness of both companies, the ability of both management teams to find their way in this field as well as focusing on specific details connected with the single currency acceptatin in the Czech Republic. In the current preparation period to accept the single currency, the parent company doesn´t play any significant role in both analysed companies. Subsequently, both companies were recommended to reanalyse and reevaluate their present activities and provide their continuity.
