Regional and cultural studies in classes of German as a foreign language, using the example of migrant literature (Yade Kara: Selam Berlin)

Abstract:

The thesis "Regional and cultural studies in classes of German as a foreign language, using the example of migrant literature (Yade Kara: Selam Berlin)" deals with the topic of regional and cultural education in classes of German as a foreign language, using the example of migrant literature. In the theoretical part are introduced the basic concepts of cultural education in classes of German as a foreign language as well as the modern intercultural approach to cultural studies and intercultural concept, the appropriate methods for this kind of classes and advantages of intercultural education based on the work with fiction. The theoretical part is introducing fifteen exercises, that are based on methods described in the first part of the thesis and on the work with texts from the book Selam Berlin by Yadé Kara. This exercises should help the czech grammar schools students with B2 level of german to achieve goals of modern intercultural education, such as development of empathy, the ability to accept other perspectives and general openness to different cultures.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Landeskunde im DaF Unterricht anhand von Migrationsliteratur. Am Beispiel von Selam Berlin" se zabývá výukou německých reálií na základě literatury, konkrétně žánru tzv. migrační literatury. V teoretické části jsou představena základní pojetí výuky reálií, z nichž pro tuto práci byla vybrána interkulturní koncepce, dále problematika moderní výuky reálií v interkulturním pojetí, metody, které jsou pro tento typ vyučování vhodné a přednosti interkulturní výuky na základě literárních textů. Na této teoretické bázi stojí praktická část práce, ve které bylo na základě úryvků z knihy Selam Berlin německé autorky Yadé Kara a pomocí v první části práce popsaných metod vypracováno patnáct cvičení, které by měly žákům vyššího stupně českých gymnázií s úrovní němčiny B2 pomoci k naplnění cílů moderního interkulturního vyučování, jako je rozvoj empatie, schopnost převzetí odlišných perspektiv a otevřenost různým kulturám.
