Forms of Social Integration at Basic Schools for Children with Special Needs and their Influence on Development of Communication Skills in children with Multiple Disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce popisuje vliv integračních aktivit na komunikační dovednosti dětí s kombinovaným postižením. Představuje aktivity probíhající na Základní škole speciální, při kterých spolupracují žáci a studenti bez postižení. Bakalářskou práci tvoří dvě části: teoretická a praktická. První část charakterizuje a vymezuje pojem kombinované postižení, zabývá se vzděláváním a výchovou žáků s kombinovaným postižením. Obsahuje informace týkající se vývoje řeči osob s kombinovaným postižením a zaměřuje se na sociální integraci. Praktická část popisuje fungování Základní školy speciální, zejména její spolupráci s nejrůznějšími subjekty. Čerpá poznatky z dokumentace školy, speciálně pedagogických center, z rozhovorů s žáky, jejich rodiči, pedagogickými pracovníky školy a dobrovolnicemi. Tyto poznatky jsou zpracovány ve třech případových studiích.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis describes the influence of integratin activities on communication skills of children with combined disability. The thesis introduces activities which také place at the Basic school for children with special needs, where pupils and students without disability cooperate. This thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical one. The first part describes and defines the term of combined disability, deals with education and bringing up the pupils with combined disability. It includes information about the speech development of these people and their social integration. The practical part describes the working of Basic school for children with special needs, especially its cooperation with various subjects. It draws the knowledge from the school documentations, special-pedagogical centres, interviews with students and their parents, school employees and volunteers. These findings are elaborated in three case studies.
