Práce pojednává o instituci dalajlamy od jejího vzniku až po současnost. V první části textu je nastíněn vznik a vývoj této instituce; původ a význam titulu dalajlamy, pokračuje výčtem nejdůležitějších dalajlamů a jejich zásahů v náboženské i světské oblasti, včetně upevnění světské moci instituce dalajalamy za tzv. The thesis discusses the institution of the Dalai Lama from its origin up until the present. The first part of the text deals with an establishment of the Dalai Lama institution. It is followed by a list of great Dalai Lamas and their acting in both the religious and the secular areas.
