Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Euro a ČR“ seznamuje s problematikou zavedení eura v České republice. Hlavním cílem je vyhodnocení plnění maastrichtských konvergenčních kritérií, reálné a nominální konvergence. Jakých přínosů a nákladů by ČR mohla dosáhnout vstupem do Evropské měnové unie (EMU), uvádím za vedlejší cíl práce. Bakalářská práce poskytuje nejen teoretické poznatky o vývoji evropské hospodářské politiky a měnové integrace, ale také zmiňuje tři hospodářská kritéria optimální měnové oblasti, které by měly členské státy plnit k tomu, aby eurozóna představovala optimální měnovou zónu. Budoucí přijetí eura přináší pro ČR, jak přínosy například v podobě eliminace kurzového rizika spojené se snížením nákladů zahraničního obchodu a investic, tak rizika, a to zejména ztrátu nezávislé měnové politiky ČNB a nově vytvořené náklady vzniklé z povinnosti začlenit se do bankovní unie a Evropský stabilizační mechanismus. Česká republika zatím nemá pevně stanovený termín vstupu do eurozóny, a je to tak správně, protože z hlediska maastrichtských kritérií nesplňuje kritérium cenové stability, které překračuje od průměru zemí eurozóny o 0,6 procentního bodu a kritérium účasti v ERM II. V závěru práce analyzuji do jaké míry je dosaženo reálné a nominální konvergence a zda se ČR dokáže vyrovnat vyspělým jádrovým státům EMU v rámci sbližování cenových a ekonomických úrovní.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis "Euro and the Czech Republic" introduces the issue of the adoption of the euro in the Czech Republic. The main aim is the evaluation of the fulfillment of the Maastricht convergence criteria, real and nominal convergence. What benefits and costs the Czech Republic could achieve by joining the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) are mention as a secondary goal of the work. Furthermore, I focus on. The bachelor's thesis provides not only theoretical knowledge about the development of European economic policy and monetary integration, but also defines the conditions of the optimal monetary area, which Member States should properly comply to make the euro area optimal monetary zone. The future adoption of the euro brings for the Czech Republic both benefits, for example in the form of elimination of exchange rate risk associated with reducing the costs of foreign trade and investment, and on the other hand also risks, especially the loss of the CNB's independent monetary policy and the newly created costs arising from the obligation to join the banking union and the European Stability Mechanism. The Czech Republic does not have a fixed date for joining the Eurozone yet, and that is right, because in terms of the Maastricht criteria, it does not meet the criterion of price stability, which exceeds the average of the EMU countries by 0.6 percentage points and the criterion of participation in ERM II. At the end of the work I analyze the extent to which real and nominal convergence is achieved and whether the Czech Republic is able to cope with the advanced core countries of EMU in the convergence of price and economic levels.
