Relationship of the primary school pupils and the lower grades of grammar school students to the civic education at school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice postojů žáků II. stupně základních škol a nižších stupňů víceletých gymnázií k občanskému vzdělávání ve školách. Cílem díla bylo zjistit postoje obou testovaných skupin k danému předmětu a jejich následné porovnání. Teoretická část je zaměřená na podstatné informace o výuce občanské výchovy, na charakteristiku postojů a v neposlední řadě také na výzkumy odpovídající námi zvolené problematice. V praktické části prezentujeme výsledky anonymního dotazníkového šetření, následně je komparujeme a zodpovídáme dílčí výzkumné otázky, které napomohly ke splnění cíle práce.

Abstract:

The thesis aims attention at attitudes of primary school pupils (6th ? 9th grade) and their peers at grammar schools towards civic education in schools. The aim was to learn from both groups, which were involved in the research, their attitudes to the given subjects and to compare the two. The theoretical part deals with essential information regarding civic education teaching, characteristic of pupils? attitudes as well as researches conducted so far on the subject in question. The results obtained by an anonymous questionnaire survey are presented in the practical part of the thesis. These are then compared. Finally the constituent research questions, which helped accomplish the thesis objective, are answered.
