Hygienic aspects of online grocery shopping

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou nakupování potravin online z pohledu spotřebitele. Teoretická část se zabývá současnými trendy nakupování potravin online, rozdíly mezi jednotlivými státy z pohledu využívaní e-shopů s potravinami, popisem jednotlivých faktorů, které ovlivňují postoj spotřebitelů k nakupování online, a analýzou možností ovlivňování nákupního chování zákazníků za účelem zlepšování stravovacích zvyklostí na populační úrovni. Dále jsou uvedena hygienická pravidla a legislativní předpisy, které se liší od těch, které mají dodržovat provozovatelé klasických obchodů s potravinami podle specifických rizik, která mohou vznikat v souvislosti s prodejem potravin na dálku. V neposlední řadě byly uvedeny známé problémy ve smyslu porušení hygienických pravidel nebo zdravotní problémy spotřebitelů po požití potravin zakoupených na internetu. Praktická část se následně zaměřuje na vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření o vědomostech a postojích a zkušenostech českých studentů s nakupováním potravin online.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deal with an issue of online grocery shopping from the consumer’s point of view. Theoretical part includes modern trends of online food shopping, differences in the usage of this service between different countries, description of the factors, that influence position of the customer regarding this issue. It also deals with possibilities of influencing customers shopping behavior for the purpose of improving their dietary habits. Further, there is a review of the hygienic rules and legislation, which differ from the one that should be followed by the owners of conventional grocery shops in the context of distance food selling.. The last but not the least is a list of hygienic rules violation by e-shops or health issues that occurred after consuming food, pursued through the internet. The following practical part of the thesis is dedicated to assessment of the results of the survey, that was dealing with knowledge, attitudes, and experience of Masaryk University students with online grocery shopping.
