The Three Tree Test as a predictor of some personal and family characteristics

Abstract:

Test tří stromů, jehož autorem je portugalský lékař R. J. Corboz, je projektivní grafická metoda rodinné diagnostiky. V psychologické praxi dosud není běžně používána. Předchozí diplomové práce, které se tímto testem zabývaly, potvrdily jeho diskriminační schopnost v oblasti rodinných vztahů. Cílem naší práce je dále rozšířit poznatky o Testu tří stromů. V první části práce uvádíme teoretická východiska pro náš výzkum. Druhá část se věnuje výzkumu samotnému. Zajímala nás percepce rodinných vztahů populace žáků 4. a 5. tříd základních škol, tak jak ji zobrazili na kresbě tří stromů v porovnání s hodnotami škál Rohnerovy metody rodinné diagnostiky. Jako doplňkovou metodu k usnadnění interpretace kreseb stromů jsme zvolili Kresbu rodiny. Dále jsme se pokusili porovnat kresbu tří stromů dyslektických dětí s kresbou dětí bez specifických poruch učení.

Abstract:

The Three Tree Test by Portuguese doctor R.J. Corboz is the graphical projective method of family relationship diagnostics which is still not frequently used in routine psychological practice. Previous dissertations which deals with this test, confirmed its discriminatory ability in the area of intra-family relationships. The aim of this thesis was to enlarge the knowledges of The Three Tree Test. The first part of the work provides theoretical basis for our research. The second part of the work deal with the research. Basicly, we were interested in population of pupils from 4. and 5. clases of elementary school and their perception of intra-family relationships. We compared their drawings of three trees with scores of scales of Rohner’s Method of Family Diagnostics. We also used Family Drawing Test as a supplementary method. Then we compared the drawings of dyslexic pupils with drawings of pupils without specific learning disorder.
