The European Union has long been engaged in the resolution of conflicts and the spread of democratic values in the world. One of the countries on which the EU focused activities of civilian crisis management operations, after 2003, is Iraq. EUJUST Lex-Iraq was an integrated EU mission to support the rule of law in Iraq.
