The effect of comic book treatment of a literary work on student's motivation to read

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se týká aspektu čtenářské gramotnosti, konkrétně motivace ke čtení. Tento aspekt je propojen s komiksovým zpracováním literárního díla. Cílem je zjistit, zda má toto zpracování vliv na motivaci žáků ke čtení. V první části diplomové práce, teoretické, jsou vymezeny pojmy čtení, čtenářská gramotnost, porozumění textu, motivace a samotný komiks. Ve druhé části, praktické, je představen výzkum, popis jeho jednotlivých částí a výsledky. Tato práce může sloužit jako inspirace pro výuku literární výchovy na ZŠ.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis concerns with the aspect of reading literacy, specifically the motivation to read. This aspect is connected with the comic book treatment of a literary work. The aim is to find out whether this treatment has an effect on students' motivation to read. The first part of the diploma thesis, theoretical, defines the concepts of reading, reading literacy, text comprehension, motivation and the comic itself. In the second part, practical, the research, description of its individual parts and results are presented. This work can serve as inspiration for teaching literary education at elementary school.
