Task of social work with people suffering from Alzheimer´s disease.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem sociální práce s lidmi s demencí od počátku 20. století po současnost na území České republiky. Používá metodu historického výzkumu. Dobové sekundární zdroje byly čerpány zejména z fondu Národní lékařské knihovny. Obsah práce je členěn do čtyř kapitol. První se zabývá cílem a obsahem diplomové práce. Druhá kapitola popisuje Alzheimerovu chorobu, sociální práci a současný medicínský a psychologický přístup k této nemoci. Ve třetí kapitole je zpracován vývoj sociální práce členěný na tři základní období. V jednotlivých obdobích je přiblížena legislativa, tehdejší péče a subjekty, které tuto péči poskytovaly. Problematika se týká sociální i zdravotní péče o cílovou skupinu. V poslední kapitole jsou popsány aktuální přístupy v sociální práci s postiženými seniory. Výsledkem diplomové práce je ucelený popis historického vývoje péče o osoby s demencí.

Abstract:

Thesis deals with the development of social work with people with dementia in the Czech Republic from the early 20th century to the present. Thesis uses the method of historical research. Period secondary sources were drawn mainly from the fund of the National Medical Library. Content of this thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the objective and content of the thesis. The second chapter describes Alzheimer's disease, social work and current medical and psychological approach to this disease. The third chapter outlines the development of social work divided into three periods. In each period is introduced legislation, then care and subjects that had been providing this kind of care at that time. The issue relates to social and health care for the target group. The last chapter describes the current approaches in social work with disabled seniors. The outcome of this thesis is a comprehensive description of the historical evolution of care for people with dementia.
